Baptised | His Commission: Part 3

Baptism: Not an issue of being worthy, but an issue of obedience.

This week Peet continues with Matthew 28, sharing with us on the role of baptism in the Great Commission. What could it look like to completely submerse someone, pressing them in, and keeping them in Jesus? - This is the context for the original term Jesus uses to describe being baptised.

Last week we started a new series on "His Commission" specifically focussing on the authority of the One who gave us the instruction to "go and make disciples of all nations...". This week Ps Peet continued on with Matthew CH28 focussing specifically on the instruction we have been given to make disciples. An instruction that requires OBEDIENCE, action, and more often than not - leaving our comfort zones.

 

All Authority | His Commission: Part 1

We are all familiar with the message of Matthew 28, often focussing on verse 19 where Jesus calls us to make disciples of all nations. In today’s message, Ps Peet highlights the importance of the One who gave us that directive and the authority He holds (Matt 28:18).

To Be Like Jesus

Pastor Jéan shares from John chapter 13 about the importance of serving, looking at the example of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. This message prompts us to ask ourselves: What prevents us from serving? What prevents us from accepting acts of service from others towards us? How is God calling us to serve those around us from a posture of obedience to Him? Prayerfully consider these questions as we share in this message together.
